Yes. Pick up to 8 instruments and 8 genres, choose a place and set a distance from 5 to 500 km. JamFan shows the musicians inside your filters, and Browse in the app ranks them by how well you would play together.

Set an alert from Browse and JamFan tells you when someone who fits joins. Widening the distance often helps too.

Yes. JamFan has musician directories across 70 cities, like guitarists in London, and you can explore them without an account.

JamFan looks at what you play, the genres you love, your skill level, how far you will travel and what you are looking for. Each pick comes with one true reason, and if a pick is a stretch, JamFan says so.

Yes. Every identity gets a showcase of up to six short audio and video clips that play right on your card. You can also post to the feed and send clips in chats.

Pushes stay quiet between 22:00 and 09:00 unless it is a message or a Jam, and outside of those you get three a day at most. You can change all of it in Settings.

Yes. Finding musicians, the daily setlist, the feed and messaging are all free on iOS, Android and the web.

No. JamFan is for beginners, returners, weekend players and working musicians. Set your skill level and what you are after, and JamFan looks for people on your wavelength.

There are reporting tools throughout the app, and people review the reports. Anyone who breaks our terms, or the good-natured spirit JamFan was built on, loses access. We do not vet musicians in person, and meeting anyone from the internet carries some risk. Meet somewhere public first, tell a friend where you will be, and trust your instincts.

JamFan is 18+ for now. We would love to open it up to younger players, and we are putting extra safeguarding in place first so we can do that responsibly.
