Features
Everything you need to start the band.
Four screens do most of the work. Here is what each one does.
Tonight’s setlist
Six musicians near you. Every evening.
At 6pm JamFan hands you a setlist: six players inside your travel radius, each with one reason you would play well together. When the six are done, the set is done, and new faces arrive tomorrow.
- Picked for you every day
- One true reason per pick
- Nobody too far away to meet
Every card plays
Hear them before you say hi.
Play the set and listen to one musician after another, full screen. Every card plays a video showcase or an audio demo, so you know how someone sounds before the first message.
- Video and audio showcases
- Jam, Encore, Note or Pass
- Record your own demo in the app
Browse and alerts
Search the way you would at a rehearsal room.
Want a metal drummer within 25 km? Filter Browse by up to 8 instruments, 8 genres and a distance from 5 to 500 km. If nobody fits yet, set an alert and JamFan tells you when someone joins.
- Instruments, genres and distance
- Alerts for when one joins
- Open to anyone, no account needed to look
Jams
From first message to first rehearsal.
Requests and every chat live in one place. Conversations sort themselves into Your turn and Waiting on them, with voice notes, photos and group chats for the whole band.
- Requests and chats together
- Reply, mute, pin and mark unread
- Quiet hours, so pushes wait until morning
And more
The details that make it feel like yours.
Record your demo
No clip yet? Record thirty seconds in the app while you build your profile, and your card plays from day one.
One of you, or several
A weekend rock guitarist and a pro session vocalist can run a separate identity each, from one account.
A feed for the music
Share demos, gig posters and clips with the people you play with. A feed that is about playing.
Every city has a scene
Browse musicians city by city across 70 cities. You do not need an account to look around.
Built on good faith
Reporting everywhere, reports reviewed by people, and 18+ for now. Anyone who breaks the spirit of JamFan loses access.
Pushes that respect your evening
Quiet hours run from 22:00 to 09:00, and outside of Jams and messages you get three pushes a day at most.
