JamFan

How it works

From first message to first rehearsal.

Three steps, and you only have to do the first one once.

Or search musicians right now
  1. 1

Say what you play and where you are

Add your instruments, your genres and how far you will travel. Then add a clip, so people can hear you.

  2. 2

    Hear tonight’s setlist

Every evening JamFan picks six musicians near you, each with one honest reason you would play well together.

  3. 3

    Jam, and say hi

Send a Jam to anyone you want to play with. When it is mutual, the chat opens with three openers built from what you both play.

Why you two

Every pick comes with an honest reason.

JamFan looks at what you play, the genres you love, your level, how far you will travel and what you are after. It works a little like a dating app, minus the endless swiping: six picks each evening, and a true reason for each.

If a pick is a stretch, JamFan says so, because an honest “Heads up: casual, and you’re serious” saves you a month of messages.

Why you two

  • You both play indie rock
  • Plays violin, on your wanted list
  • 7 km away, inside your radius
  • Heads up: casual, and you’re serious

It’s a jam

When it is mutual, the chat opens.

Send a Jam to anyone you want to play with. If they Jam back, JamFan opens a chat with three openers built from what you both play, so nobody has to think of a first line.

Your intent

Say what you are after, so you meet people after the same thing.

The old way

Finding people to play with has always come down to luck.

A flyer on a noticeboard. A post that sinks in an hour. A friend of a friend. JamFan replaces the luck: it finds the people near you who want to play what you play, and lets you hear them before you say hi.

A wanted ad

No filters, no demo, and the post expires.

A group post

Buried within the hour, with no profiles to check.

A noticeboard flyer

Works only if the right person walks past.
